Calabrese  Parthenon F1 Description:
An exciting variety will certainly become a number one of all the calabrese, producing a heavier, deeper and smoother dome. Bead size is also smaller with improved green colour. Head weight 200g (7oz) maturing within 80-85 days. High yielding and excellent quality. 50 seeds Sow the seeds thinly in a nursery bed 1cm deep in rows 15cm apart in April or May. Thin the seedlings gradually to about 8cm apart. In June or July the plants should have 5 or 6 leaves, transplant to the growing site spacing them 30cm apart all round.

Sow the seeds thinly in trays, or 2 seeds to a cell in modules under glass at 13°C
WHAT TO DO NEXT
As soon as the first pair of leaves appear, prick off into trays 5cm apart, or thin modules to 1 seedling per cell. September sown seedlings should be grown on , in a cold greenhouse/cold frame and planted out early March. Gradually harden off spring grown plants before planting in growing site from late March spacing 45cm apart.
