The plant forms clusters of leaves tinged red with a deep red rib.The leaves can be gently cooked like Spinach and the ribs treated like Asparagus. Pick young stems and the plant will keep producing new growth.

April to July and August.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow direct in growing site 2cm deep in rows 35-40cm apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Do not transplant seedlings. As the seedlings appear, gradually thin until plants are 20cm apart.
MATURITY
Leaves are ready about 10 weeks after sowing.
HANDY TIP
