WHERE TO SOW
Early sowings in glasshouse or cold frame in individal pots. Direct sowings in growing site, 2 seeds 6cm deep every 20cm in rows 60cm apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Glasshouse seedlings should be gradually hardened off before planting out in late May to above spacings. Direct sowings should be thinned to single seedlings as soon as large enough to handle.
MATURITY
June onwards.
HANDY TIP
Always pick the pods with care, it is very easy to pull the whole plant in error, use scissors or both hands to be sure. |
