WHERE TO SOW
Spetember sowings in flowering site 2cm (1") deep. Later sowings in pots or deep modules, such as rootrainers. 2 seeds to a module or 5 seeds to a pot, place in cold frame to over winter. January sowings in unheated glasshouse. March sowings in cold frame. April sowings direct in flowering site.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowerin site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
HANDY TIP
When plants are about 15cm (6") tall, pinch out the growing tip to encourage secondary growth.
