WHERE TO SOW

Prepare a nursery bed and sow thinly 1cm (¼”) deep in rows 20cm (9”) apart or in seed trays in a cold frame.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

When seedlings are about 8cm (3”) high, thin out to 15cm (4”) apart. Plant out in October into flowering site 20cm (9”) apart. Choose a sheltered position.

HANDY TIP

In colder areas it may prove beneficial to over-winter the plants in a cold frame and plant out in March.
