This should really be in the vegetable section as its other name is Cape Gooseberry. Plants are covered in pretty star shaped flowers that mature into paper like wrapped yellow fruits in early autumn. Something different where ever it is grown.

WHEN TO SOW
March and April
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in pots , direct in ground or in cold frame. Later sowings can be
made in open site.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant to nursery bed,
finally planting out, into growing position, in the autumn.
MATURITY
Flowers will appear the following July and August and fruit
should be ready by September.
