WHEN TO SOW
January to March.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow thinly into pots or seed trays on the surface of good free-draining seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place pots in a propagator or cover pots with a polythene bag and keep an even temparature of 20-25°C unit after germination which takes approx 7-21 days. DO NOT exclude light as this will effect germination.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm apart. Grow on and gradually harden off for planting in the flowering site from late May 10cm apart.
MATURITY
Late June onwards.
HANDY TIP
Double Petunias make a super display in containers on a patio just on their own. |
