WHEN TO SOW
February to April.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in pots or trays in a good compost under glass at 18-20ƒC. Cover with glass or polythene to maintain humidity.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
As soon as seedlings emerge, remove the cover. When the seedlings are about 4cm tall, prick off into trays 5cm apart or individually into pots. Grow on and gradually harden off for planting out 35-40cm apart in May.
MATURITY
June onwards.
HANDY TIP
As well as bedding and containers, Impatiens make beautiful house plants. Pinching out growing points encourages more bushy growth. |
