Most commonly grown as a cool glasshouse plant in pots, can be moved outside and plunged in the soil for the summer. Will grow to 2 or 3 metres high and a spread of 50cm. Rarely flowers in our climate.

WHEN TO SOW
Spring.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in pots using a good peat or peat substitute compost. Cvoer with vermiculite and keep at 18° C. Germination takes 3-4 weeks.
WHEN TO TRANSPLANT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off. Later transplant into pots. Keep near light and water moderately. Grow on in cool greenhouse. |
