PREPARATION

  • Sow from March to early October, watering well when the weather is dry.
  • Before sowing, break up all clods and remove perennial weeds, stones and rubbish.
  • Cultivate the soil to a depth of 8cm to 10cm.

INSTRUCTIONS

For New Lawns
  • Divide the area which you want to sow in easily manageable sections of a square metre or square yard. A soft, moist soil with a warm environment is the best for seed growing.
  • Simply shake the seed mixture evenly on the area. Seed rate: 200g per 6m².
  • Rake the seeds lightly to ensure seeds reach onto the soil to a depth of 1cm.
  • Water well with a light spray frequently. Keep the soil moist until the lawn is well rooted but don't wash the seeds away!
  • When the grass reaches approximately 8cm high, mow for the first time.

INSTRUCTIONS

Overseeding or Restoring a Lawn
  • Mow the grass as short as possible. Rake out dead and dry grass, cuttings and rubbish.
  • Simply shake the seed mixture evenly on the area. Seed rate: 200g per 12m².
  • Rake the seeds lightly to ensure seeds reach the soil to a depth of 1cm.
  • Water well daily with a light spray and keep soil moist until first mowing.
  • When the grass reaches approximately 8cm high mow for the first time.

Note: We recommend you use fertiliser a few weeks after seeds have started to grow to ensure a high quality lawn. For maximum results, store within a cool dry place and use within the season of purchase. Frost will stop the germination process. Do not eat the grass seed. Remember that birds like to eat grass seed so protect your lawn with netting (or like), remove while seeds are germinating.
