Leamington is a highly scented Spencer variety, producing blooms with deep lavender and strongly waved petals.


Kings seeds recommend sowing seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water. Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens, which can result in low germination levels.

When to Sow Leamington Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow Sweet Peas

This will vary on the time of year that you will be sowing the seeds.
September or April: Flowering site at 2cm (3.4") deep.
Later sowings: Sow in pots -  5 seeds in each.
October and November and March: In a cold frame.
January: In a  heated glasshouse.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
